Shawn S. Nelson Schmitt, PH.D.

Biography : 

Dr. Shawn S. Nelson Schmitt received a Ph.D. in clinical psychology from Gallaudet University in Washington, DC, in 2014. He completed his pre-doctoral internship in clinical neuropsychology at the Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University in Providence, RI, and a post-doctoral fellowship in neuropsychology at the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences and Walter Reed National  Military Medical Center in Bethesda, MD. Dr. Nelson Schmitt is a member of the International Neuropsychological Society and the National Academy of Neuropsychology. A bilingual and bicultural child of Deaf adults (CODA), Dr. Nelson Schmitt is fluent in American Sign Language (ASL) and English.
